Organising Webinars becomes a favourite activity for me! We now have one available at: www.Alastian.com where we launched the second in a series of online seminars entitled “New Challenges of the Polyolefins Industry”. This is part of our policy of offering customers access to information services that can help them optimise their purchasing activities. Industry experts representing CMAI, Alastian staff and customers participated in this Webinar.
We shared perspectives on the future role of innovative business channels via our General Manager, who actively participates in debates like this. It is really interesting to discuss the possible future of our industry I believe. We did this with the Economist Intelligence Unit and important customers before and now with customers and CMAI, which gives interesting perspectives and food for thought.
Last year was a great year for Alastian and its customers, as our GM said, and I could not agree more. We virtually doubled the number of grades we are able to offer, we expanded our operations to a host of new markets and we continued our great sales growth during the year. I think 2008 is going to be another very exciting year and it is clear that the Alastian proposition – quality resins, no frills and round-the-clock ordering – is meeting the needs of more and more customers in more and more countries.
On the personal front I can also bring exciting news; my second child was born, a healthy little girl came to join us in a no-frills way as well. I mean that the delivery went well without any complications!
