One of Basell’s strengths in this region is that it can rely on a host of different JV companies for supply of top quality products. These companies are all strong players in their respective domestic markets, with modern and state of the art production facilities to back them up. Basell – as shareholder in these companies – tries to share as much of possible of its global developments and innovations to help maintain this strong position. And that is exactly why I want to involve them in the E-commerce arena. But as is to be expected, there are reservations and hurdles to be overcome. So, next week may well decide whether I will be doing a lot of traveling the individual JV companies the coming period or not.
